It was 6:00 yesterday when i found out that my favorite singer of all time and an international superstar had died. At 2:26, June 25, the King of Pop died of causes unknown at UCLA Medical Center. Doctors say cardio arrest. Michael Jackson was my favorite singer ever, and generally considered one of the best singers of all times. I sort of hold my self poersonally responsible for his death, ot maybe it’s just karma, but the other day, i was going through clothes in my closet, and i was think ing about what would happen if Michael Jckson died. I blew the thought to the back of my mind because i thought it was a ridiculouse thought. I mean, he was only 50! Yes, some people say Michael Jackson has done some wierd things and i cant deny that, but i mean, would you be totally normal if you did’t have childhood. I liked Michael Jackson for all sorts of reasons, but you cant say he couldn’t sing!

So i don’t know if this is my best childhood memory, but its the one that came to mind first, my most memorable one. I was about eight or nine and my best friend Makayla had spent the night with me. The next morning, my wonderful Poppop came over and waas going to bring us to my favorite resaraunt C.B café, where i would get dino nuggets and french fries, also my favorites. My Poppop told both of us to get into his truck and he would be there in a minuet. Alot can happen in a minuet. Makayla and i crawled into the front seat of the rusty, white truck at the front of my drive way. While waiting, the gear shift caugt my eye and i had always wantes to move it but i wasn’t aloud. So i decided that scince the truck was turned off nothing would happen…guess again. While moving the stick shift in a circuler motion, and listening to Makayla warning me not to, we started to roll back. Panicking, we didnt think to jump out of the truck before it statred gaining speed. I was only eight, give me a break! At the end of the drive tjhere is a creek, as we started nearing the creek and thinking we goners for sure, BAM!!!! We hit the end of the rail on the bridge that goes over the bridge..all 4inches of it. We were extremely lucky and now i dont touch gear shifts!!!

Heyy! We’re back at young writers camp…again!! It’s so good to see Melanie and Ian, but i thought there would be more people from last year. Nope, just me, Allie Bug, and Story (awesome name!!!!!) But there are alot of new faces, and friendships to made. So watch out, Erin’s back at camp!!!!!!!!
